It’s been awhile since I have blogged.  But I have not forgotten!  Actually, that’s not 100% true, I have had some fantastic things to say, but now I sit here with only my Reiki update. 

I will complete my Reiki II training on February 17th.  On the 18th, I am going to start my Mobile Healing business!  Well, I have already started the planning portion of it, but to actually  be a practitioner, you have to have your level II certificate.   So the practicing portion will start then.    This is the very first step to my GRAND healing center plans.  I figure, it has to start somewhere.  Right??  Am I right??  It was hard to get over the “go big or go home” mindset, but alas, that I have done.  As time goes on and training continues, I will add aromatherapy and EFT after that.  (Emotional Freedom Technique)  Now I still plan to add all the other bells and whistles, but I realise now it’s one step at a time. 

 Oh, I just remembered one of the things I wanted to discuss before.  It’s called spiritual evolution.  I think, because there are so many people doing this spiritual journey, it is a part of human evolution.  The more people that find out where they came from, what they are capable of and where they are going, the more humanity evolves into a “higher-being”  Not saying I’m a higher-being, but I think that if I reach my potential, then I will be.  I think it’s people like Jesus, Buddha, Saint Theresa and other enlightened beings are humans that have reached their highest potential as a human.  I also think it is possible with everyone and I hope to someday achieve it.  (now, if I could just get through a 20 minute unguided meditation – I may be able to do that 40 day one )  Oh, don’t get me wrong, there is nothing simple about the people I mentioned above, but I wanted to make the analogy because they too where human.  To strive to be as they are is the only goal we each should have ultimately.

So, I’m very excited to get started giving Reiki treatments.  I picked my son up from school the other day, and as per usual, he gets into the van and says he’s hungry.  I see this as an opportunity for a bribe!  The youngest child is sleeping in her car-seat, meaning I can move her to her bed when we get home.  The house will be quiet for a bit.  So I say to Jack “I tell ya what, if you let me practice my Reiki on you when we get home, I’ll give you a box of Smarties.  As far as my son is concerned, he’ll do anything for Smarties, or anything junkie for that matter.  So of-course he says yes!  So this is what I do, I put Ivy to bed, put the dog out for a pee, clean off the dinning room table, close all the blinds, light a few candles, put the one and only plant I have in the room (to help set the mood) then clear all the smashed banana from the floor (so as to not get stuck to the floor one my way around the table) Spread a Buzz Light Year blankie on the table, and got the boy to lay down. 

Ahhh, first session is about to begin.  After saying a small prayer and asking for guidance, I place my hands on the top of Jacks head (Position 1) after about 20 seconds, Jack says “I’m bored, are you almost done??”  I couldn’t believe it.  After he says that, there is not much you can do to keep him still.  I’m supposed to hold these positions for 3-5 minutes each.  And there is many positions to do, both front and back.  So, I simply zipped through the hand placements of the front, took about 60 seconds and had to stop.  Guess that’s what you get when you depend on Smarties and a 5 year old for practice.

Next step, blow out the candles, open the blinds, sit down and share a nice box of Smarties.  Ahhhh, healing occurs, for Jack anyway.  LOL

Ok, so today I had my first Reiki workshop.  In that workshop I was Attuned.  What a powerful process.  Had some actual rev-elating experiences.  For those of you that don’t know, an attunement is a process in which a Master Reiki teacher uses prayer, symbols, essential oils and meditation (on my part) to hand over the energy needed to be a reiki practitioner.  I’m supposed to feel the difference when it comes to detecting energy fields and my intuition should be heightened when I’m doing a treatment.  I have tried detecting energy Fields before, and I think I could actually, so I will have to let you know if that has changed for me.

Originally Reiki was not the first choice for me, but all paths kept leading there.  So I jumped on that bandwagon, and I’m glad I did.  The teacher is such a beautiful inspiration for me. I didn’t want to leave her house.  She has it so Feng shui that I could have just stayed forever I think.  But alas, I needed to come home to reality.  Love my reality, but it’s hard sometimes. 

So I go back next week for my second workshop, then I’ll be done level 1.  I’ll do level 2 soon I hope.  Then I start my business!  Come hell or high water.  Even if it’s on my dining room table, I want to start soon.  I need to start soon.  So…I will!  I can actually do treatments now because I have been attuned, but I can’t start charging for them until I have completed level 2.  Not that it’s the main reason I want to start, but we where told we should not give free treatments to anyone, because if something is free, there is a very good possibility that the service will be less valued. And if the service is less valued, there is a negative energy attached to it.  And seems how the treatment is energy based, it’s not a good idea to have negative energy surrounding a treatment.  Thus, I shouldn’t be giving free treatments.  It’s going to be hard, because I just want to start!  Actually, I think I’ll start and do one for mom.  You see, she babysat Ivy for me while I took the workshop.  SO…I value Ivy and I can pay with something I think has high value too.  And mom also values Ivy, so this is a perfect payoff.  Hmmm, look at me go.  LOL  Anyone else that wants to trade goods or services for treatment, I think that is a perfect way around the money thing and a perfect way for me to get my feet wet.

Wow, they say that there is no such thing as coincidence, that everything happens for a reason.  Or in words more to my liking, everything happens exactly as it should in perfect devine timing.  Well, just when I was doubting my choices about learning energy healing – you know, to do professionally – Greys Anatomy had some of my energy healing sista’s on there.  Giving all kinds of doubting people a reason to believe.  (I LOVE GREYS)  Although I don’t fancy being considered “weird” I do so love the “faith” aspect of it.  If we have faith in our abilities, faith in our bodies ability to heal itself, or faith in our ability to heal others with our energy, why is that weird?  Maxine, that’s my almost 14 year old daughter, keeps saying she doesn’t believe in all my voodoo.  But the truth of it is, I know she has some belief, because she has some natural abilities that she can not deny.  She has always seen lights and “streaks of light” coming from people.  I always told her it was her glasses giving off a reflection or some crazy thing like that.  Because the truth of it is, children are more in tune with their natural ability to see Aura’s (That is what she was doing by the way).  They can do and see things most grown-ups don’t understand, that is why we crush their beliefs before we even know that we did it.  Because we don’t understand.  All those kids with imaginary friends, guess what, some of them may not have been imaginary.  We all have guides and helpers with us at any given moment.  Our mind is just not quiet enough to hear their words of wisdom.  So instead, we get gut insticts, or a “feeling”  That is them letting us know what they think.  By the way, it’s usually a good idea to listen to your gut instinct. 

 Oh, I ranted, sorry.  Weird…it’s hard to find people to talk candidly about this too.  Not that I don’t get support, because I am supported, but as long as I don’t say too much.  I feel like I am crossing boundries when I talk about this passion of mine.  There is only a small circle of people that do beleive in it, I’m one of them.  So, I’m not going to let my feelings of weirdness get in my way of my passions.  My first step will be Reiki.  I’m looking now to see where I could get training.  Oh, I was going to take a course that had reiki included, but as it turns out, ths school is still waiting provicial approval on the course.  That may take a year, and I want to start SOON.    No one ever said I was patient.  I have already started a business plan to include me doing Reiki and maybe one other service to start.  I would like to get one more practioner to start with me, and I do have someone in mind, but we’ll have to see.  Then I’ll add all those wonderful other services and I train and hire more people.  I’m soooooo excited! 

 By the way, a good friend of mine from my school days dropped me a message on facebook telling me she had the perfect business idea for me.  And I must say, it sounds like something I would love doing!  It was for a singing telegram service.  She said she did it in her last year of highschool for fun and did VERY well.  And seems how I just started a quartet, she thought that might be something I would be interested in.  Well, lets put it this way, I’m not ruling it out.

Ok, so yesterday I spent a good part of the day looking on Government sites on how to write a business plan and where to get funding.  Grants AND Loans.  I found some great read’n let me tell you.  I even found a HUGE list of all the companies Canada wide that received grants AND for what they received grants AND how much.  I couln’t believe it.  Some really well know companies getting grants for things like market research.  Wow! 

Anyway, my mind kept going at 100 miles per hour last night.  I figured I would be on the computer as much as possible today too.  As it turned out, I was, but not for the same reason.  I was called this morning by one of my best friends/neighbours about a business idea she had.  She was pumped. So I got involved too.  It was an idea to make up gift baskets and sell them.  She wanted to market online but wasn’t sure how.  So I helped her with that.  We had fun putting this together.  Check out the site and leave us some feedback.

So, I took a break from my Healing Centre and focused on another way to earn riches.  Because, when you are dealing with the Law Of Attraction, you should never limit your source to one thing.  You can never be sure where your abundance is coming from.  And creating nice looking baskets gets your creative juices flowing.  And if they are flowing, you are happier, if you are happier, you are vibrating at a higher frequency, and if your vibrating at a higher frequency, more of the same will be attracted to you.  More of that which makes you happy.  (see wish list

Yes, you read that correctly.  I am officially an ordained minister.  Rev. Terri-Lynn Young.  How is thing going to help me in my goals you ask?  Well, I wasn’t sure at first, it just felt like something I wanted to do.  The idea popped in my mind, and idea’s come from the devine.  So you have a choice to either act on them or not.  This one, I choose to act on. 

 It is with the Universal Life Church.  Non-denominational Church who’s core belief is just to be and do good.  As easy as that sounds, you would be surprised how hard it can be.  Especially if you have other challenges in life that make it easy not to be and do good.  So anyway, I can leagally marry people, bury people, do baptisms…the works.  But apparently I have to look into regulations in my province to make sure all is well with it. 

But here’s the thing, I’m not exactly planning to provide these services, but the option is now there.  But I do think it will help me in my future endevour.  You see, here’s my plan…

I have been studying natural healing, Energy Healing, LOA, and anything to do with human betterment (both natural and SUPERnatural) and I want to open a Spiritual Healing centre.  Only I don’t want to scare the non-spritual people away, so I might call it just a Healing Center.  But it will be a place for healing of the Mind-Body-Spirit.  I have such a passion for this, that I think it’s my only choice at this point.  So I can also see a Chapel in this Center.  A place for people to Pray, Meditate and even have Ceremonies if they wish.  That is where my ordainment will come in handy.

Well, I rung in the new year last night with my husband, my kids and my parents.  We all came down to my folks house (3 km down the road) and spent the night.   Heck, even the dog came down for the night.  It was a nice time.  We had a nice supper and a few too many drinks and watched the festivities on TV.  Tis the way we prefer to do it.  Cozy by the fire at home!  Ahhhh.

I’m not setting any resolutions this year.  I feel I have gone beyond that in my LOA quest.  One of the very first steps in the Law of Attraction is to make a list.  A big, beautiful list of your desires that you are to keep adding to constantly.  The more clear you are on your desires, the more the Universe can provide for you.   It’s also important to read your list all the time, to keep those thoughts fresh in your mind.  Not as in to dwell on them,  but just keep them fresh.  And don’t dwell on the “how” your going to get your desire.  If you just keep wishing for money so you can buy it, your are closing off so many other possible avenues of obtaining them.  Leave it up to the universe to decide how to get it to you.

 Anyway, thought I would jot down a few of my desires that where (are) on my original list. 

1.To be pain free in my neck, back and shoulders.  Those of you that know me know that I have had chronic pain for about 10 years.

2. Huge down-line in my Avon Business.  I have about 89 now.  I would like to see that way up in the multiple hundreds before too long.

3. To be fit, healthy and at the ideal weight for my body comfort level. 

4. A vacation with my husband, just us alone…without any of my 3 kids – not that I don’t love them, but a break is desired.

5. Start a new business venture – this is something I would like to do with my husband, but he’s not on board with me yet.  I’ll keep you posted.

 Well, I think that is enough to pour on your for today.  My list is much huger than this, as I have been adding to it for weeks now.  Oh, one of the items on my original list was a new King size bed.  My old bed was ok, but not too comfy.  That has sort of been filled.  We bought a gorgeous new bed that is a tall as my arm pits…so comfortable.  It is exactly what I wanted, but it wasn’t king.  But I’m hoping the fact that it’s  so tall it will discourage the kids and dog from wanting to get it in at night.  That was why I thought we needed a king.  Oh, and my husband is 6.4′ and likes to sleep from corner to corner so his feet won’t hang off. 

I have used meditation, visualization, and a really great tool called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)  this is tapping on energy meridians in your body while repeating certain words.  I’ll get into EFT in another blog.  It deserves a blog of it’s own.  It’s amazing.  If I’m sore or tense, I do this for about 2 minutes and it’s gone.  LOVE it! 

If your interested in EFT, I learned it through a program I’m doing online.  It From Bob Doyle.  He was on the Secret.  The reason he was on the Secret was because the creator of the movie, Rhonda, was taking his wealth beyond reason course as part of her LOA research.  Here is a link for you to check that out.

 Well, this is my first official weblog.  So I thought I would start a blog about my growth!  No, not growth as in on the scale.  It’s about my wealth!  Many people know that I have started a path quite some time ago after watching The Secret.  But my thirst for this stuff didn’t stop there.  I devour everything I can get my hands on to study the Law of Attraction. 

 The Law of Attraction, which I will be call LOA for simplicity, is the practice of attracting into your life all that you desire.  Seems how you are attracting at all time anyway, you may as well atract that which brings you happiness.  Now, this may get to be “far fecthed” for many of you, but think of it as a case study.  I’m not just starting on this path, so I have already accomplished many successes todate, mostly in terms of my physical wellness.  But NOW I am going to apply it for attaining Wealth!

 I thought, what better way to stay on track than to start a blog and track my success.  I invite you all to comment and even participate.  I would love to hear other peoples stories about their LOA experiences!    Cheers
